Introduction[]

Puerto Pirámides is the only "town" on the entire Península Valdés. The village of about 400 is sited on the shore of Golfo Nuevo. Being part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site for wildlife, the town promotes itself as an ecotourism destination.

On the shores of Golfo Nuevo on the Eastern side of Península Valdés, about 102 kilometres from Puerto Madryn.

Weather[]

The weather in Puerto Pirámides is similar to that in Puerto Madryn, being dry and windy.

Getting There & Away[]

LADE and Andes Líneas Aéreas fly to Puerto Madryn from Buenos Aires. The airport is 10 kilometres from town.

An alternative is to fly into Trelew. Aerolíneas Argentinas and LADE both fly into Trelew some 65 kilometres to the South of Puerto Madryn.

Línea 28 de Julio connect Puerto Madryn to many Argentine cities, and frequently to Trelew.

From Puerto Madryn, Mar y Valle goes to Puerto Pirámides on the peninsula.

Accommodation[]

Puerto Piramides has a few hotels, including the del Nómade Hostería Ecológica, La Estancia del Sol, Las Restingas, Posada Pirámides and Hostería The Paradise.
